Jamming with the Ukulele
Bumbling about and screwing up the intro as usual but this is fun at the Graydon Bar 'N Grill, Streetsville. The resident entertainer, Bayani Llagas, graciously invited me up to play, I was waving the ukulele about. I wrote the song to introduce the uke to a rowdy pub audience. It will be nice song when I learn it properly.

All I Ask Of You
Recreating the "Barmaid's Arms" of the 1970s was fun on the last surviving pub piano at The Imperial Pub. We did a lot of bumbling about and screwed up the intros but the Barmaids Arms alumni present were almost crying with nostalgia. I think that's what it was.

In this video Jasmine bravely sings a duet with London Bobby after only five minutes rehearsal during the setup. Usually there is no rehearsal, somebody comes up, starts singing and off we go figuring out the key and tempo as we go along, usually by about the third bar.

This is how it used to be before kareoke. Much more fun, nobody shows up with spoons, ukulele, kazoo or tin whistle at kareoke.

Nigel the Know-It-All Computer
Nigel gets very pushy about London Bobby's song selection at the First Annual Final Last Performance on the last real pub piano at the Imperial Pub, Toronto. Camera Terry Smith, sound Dave Smith, editing Bob Smith. Aug 30, 2012. www.londonbobby.com
Second Annual Last Final Appearance, Spain
Singalong Pub Show on Stage

Recreating the Toronto pub "Barmaid's Arms" on a stage in Spain was a challenge but with the aid of Rebecca, guest singers and the audience a good time was had by all, just like in the pub itself.
A Rolicking Good Knees Up, Spain
The Yo-Yo Song
London Bobby and Sara Morales

Sara, a lovely Spanish lady, actually speaks English very well but I made out to the audience that she didn't really understand the implications of this song. A good sport, she went along with it.
Horace Sings
in Fuengirola, Spain

London Bobby Singalong Pub Show

Although I love the art of ventriloquism I never really thought I could put across the illusion but Horace has come alive and become a big star in his own right on the Costa del Sol. I'm so jealous.

Pub Comedy

London Bobby flirts with political correctness and racist comedy in a small pub, the Queen's Arms, Toronto, Canada

Hymn to Him, My Fair Lady

There are several videos of this song on Youtube. London Bobby is the only one that uses live music, the rest use pre-recorded tracks, including Rex Harrison! This version was recorded in a piano bar on board a Holland America Line cruise ship, the MS Maasdam.

Piano bars are hard to find on land nowadays, it seems they are all floating around the seas on cruise ships. See my World guide to piano pubs and piano bars
